The Petersen family has been practicing law in Kane County as lawyers or judges since 1936. Stuart learned a great deal of law from listening to stories told by his grandfather, Judge John S. Petersen, and his father, Judge John L. Petersen. Stuart is proud to practice law in the Petersen family tradition. Stuart's grandfather served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Stuart graduated from North Central College in 1986 and received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 1990. Stuart has been practicing law since 1991. Stuart has litigated jury trials to verdict in both criminal and civil matters. He represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in various types of civil cases.
