Hunter obtained his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in 1986 and then earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1989. Upon graduation, Hunter served as Regulatory Counsel for the Chemical Producers and Distributors Association in Washington D.C. While in D.C., Hunter obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M) in Environmental Law from the George Washington University National Law Center. In 1994, Hunter served as General Counsel to the Drexel Chemical Company in Memphis, Tennessee, counseling the company on business and commercial, environmental, and employment matters.
Hunter opened an office in Jonesboro in 2002 in the Simmons First Bank Building. He currently practices in Arkansas and Tennessee and is admitted to all state courts, the United States Eastern District Court of Arkansas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth (8th) Circuit, and the United States Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
