Dion J. Custis served as a federal law clerk for one year then as an Assistant Wyoming Public Defender since 1994. In 1998, he founded the firm as a solo practitioner and continues to serve as an Assistant Wyoming Public Defender. Wyoming DUI Penalties

As a Wyoming resident, you could face DUI penalties that include:

First DUI conviction =

  • up to 6 months in jail; or
  • fine of up to $750; and
  • driver’s license suspension of 90 days.

Second DUI conviction (within 5 years) =

  • Mandatory jail sentence of 7 days, up to 6 months;
  • fine of between $200 and $750; and
  • driver’s license suspension for 6 months.

Can You Refuse a Breath Test?

  • 6-month Administrative license suspension.
  • 1 year and 6 months license suspension for each subsequent refusal.
